In an era where digital skills define opportunity, the Youth Bridge Foundation (YBF) continues to champion innovation and inclusion through its flagship initiative, Youth Tech Bridge (YTB). YTB is the Foundation’s digital hub dedicated to empowering young people with transformative technology skills.
As part of efforts to empower young girls and provide them with digital skills, and in solidarity with Ghana’s National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, YTB has launched its maiden Digital Skills Bootcamp in Nsawam. The four-week training, which kicks off in October 2025, will focus on Cybersecurity and Web Development for young girls, offering them hands-on experience to prepare them for the future world of work.
The training is expected to convene 30 active participants from several schools in Nsawam and nearby communities, including Aburi Girls’ Senior High School, Nana Osae Djan Cluster 5, St. Michael Anglican JHS, Crystal Heights International School, Nsawam Presby Cluster 1 Basic School and the Nsawam M/A Basic School

Beyond coding and cybersecurity, the Bootcamp promotes inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity. By intentionally engaging young girls, YBF seeks to close the gender gap in technology and provide them with the same access to digital knowledge and tools as their urban counterparts.
Through practical sessions, mentorship, and collaboration, participants will learn how to create secure digital environments and develop basic websites that can serve their schools and communities. The approach ensures that learning is practical, impactful, and can solve real-world challenges by adopting technology.
Some Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teachers from participating schools have commended YBF for spearheading this timely and impactful initiative. They described the Bootcamp as a valuable opportunity to inspire both students and educators to embrace technology as a pathway to learning and empowerment.
The Youth Tech Bridge Bootcamp also forms part of YBF’s broader Digital Innovation Strategies, which aim to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban youth through digital literacy, coding, and emerging technology education. It represents YBF’s long-term commitment to ensuring that young people, regardless of gender or geography, can participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
